Trek: A Great Brand from a Humble Beginning

In 1976, in a southern Wisconsin barn, a pair of visionaries set out to create the best bikes in the world. They fostered a culture of craftsmanship, where every bicycle built was a point of pride. To this day, though we’ve grown far beyond our roots, every bike we make is a testament to Trek’s founding principles.

Trek’s electric bikes amplify your pedaling power and your ability to do and see more. Trek e-bikes are quick and smooth, with predictable, easy-to-control power and a long-lasting removable battery that recharges at any household outlet.

Only deepest conviction creates the highest Form of Engineering

It all began with two engineers, a good idea, and a garage. But not in California, rather in the south of Hesse. In Darmstadt, to be more precise. In the parent’s courtyard. Immediately after the company was founded, it won the Innovation Prize 1993 and has grown to become an internationally renowned premium manufacturer of E-Bikes and folding bikes. As previously, Riese & Müller manufactures the most innovative bikes of tomorrow with the passion of yesteryear – and still in Weiterstadt, not far from the old garage.

BH has been for over a century a synonym of bicycles, cycling, sportsmanship and self-improvement. Many children have given their first and hesitant turn of the pedals with a BH bicycle, and legendary cyclists have also been created on many of these bikes.

The journey of BH (Beistegui Hermanos) in the industry initiated in Eibar (Guipuzkoa, Spain), a city of arms manufacturers, in 1909 as a result of the genius and enterprising spirit of three brothers: Cosme, Domingo and Juan Beistegui Albistegui.

The company, which was founded as an arms manufacturer, gave a radical 180-degree turn following the First World War, and it set out to provide a fast, comfortable and economic means of transport for the citizens of Eibar. The result was the development of very light, agile and reliable bicycles.
