The Building of an Association

Starting in February 2017, the Electric Bike Association will be appointing its first official Board of Directors. This will include a Chairperson, a Vice-Chairperson, a Committee Chairperson, a Secretary Chairperson, a Treasurer Chair, and three board members. These 2-year positions will be filled with dedicated individuals who see the importance of building relationships from the consumer side of the industry.

One of the most important roles for this group will be the development of committees to tackle the continuing consumer market research and to work with our media team to create a constant stream of positive news stories about “legal” pedal-assist electric bikes and how they are being used by you around the country.

Another important objective of this group will be to set an education agenda that reaches traditional bike shops as well as the new, exclusively electric bicycle shops and helps them understand best practices in helping the recreational customer find, buy and maintain their eBikes.

The Electric Bike Association is a nonprofit industry-to-consumer group built to promote electric bikes to the general public, while at the same time, work to collect important research on consumer perceptions, needs, and areas of opportunity. The exclusive management team behind the association helps to produce the Electric Bike Expos, the association’s consumer experience centerpiece. The team also helps to build public awareness through public relations, published reports and the marketing of memberships and sponsorships.
